'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' Just Added A Lynx Mount, And I Love Him

Feline good.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's massive new Ireland expansion is out later this week, and I've been having a little play around with it ahead of its release.

Wrath Of The Druids will be available on all platforms on Thursday, May 13. You can check out my full review of the new adventure right here if you want to... but before that, there was one part of the DLC I just had to draw your attention to.

Yes, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has officially added a giant Lynx can you ride around instead of a horse. Take a look at the majestic critter in action below!

As a cat person who would love to snuggle a Lynx IRL but also knows that would result in the instant severance of one or two limbs, I am obsessed with my new Lynx friend. Does it make sense that Eivor can now ride a large cat across the Irish countryside? No, but my character is also decked out in Thor's armour and wields the legendary Mjolnir. Anything goes in these games at this point.

My point being is that I love Eevee the Lynx (yes, I named it after my cat). Eevee functions exactly the same as any of the game's horses (or the giant wolf if you're a Season pass holder). The main difference really is that it looks about ten times cooler, and roughly one thousand times fluffier.

To get your very own Lynx mount, you'll need to own the Wrath Of The Druids DLC. If you meet this simple criteria, all you have to do is start the expansion by travelling to Ireland. By the time you've initiated the first major quest in Dublin, you'll be notified that you've unlocked the furry friend. Simply head to the nearest stable, swap your current mount for the feline, and become the envy of Ireland.
