'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Player Proves That The Game's Most 'OP' Rifle Actually Sucks

'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Player Proves That The Game's Most 'OP' Rifle Actually Sucks

Not that fabulous after all.

Call Of Duty: Warzone has plenty of guns to choose from. Some are absolute tat that players pretty much never bother to go near unless they absolutely have to. Others are considered ridiculously overpowered and in need of tuning to ensure that all players can have a fair and equal experience while out in Verdansk.

Very, very few weapons manage to strike a balance between those two extremes. That's according to the Call Of Duty community, anyway. Those guys can barely agree on anything at the best of times, to be fair. Take, for example, the Kar98k rifle. This is considered by a good chunk of players to be one of the best and most powerful weapons in the game.

Deadly in the hands of players who claim to know what they're doing, the Kar98k has won much praise among fans. But it wouldn't really be Call Of Duty unless somebody found a way to disagree, and that's exactly what's happened.

A Reddit user called oDexisZA recently uploaded what they believe is proof that shows the Kar98k isn't the must-have rifle that many say it is. After a buff during Season 4, the Kar98k can take enemies down with just one headshot... which I'm assuming is what most of us want from a marksman rifle. However, oDexisZA shared a video that shows us the Kar98k is pretty far from OP in every other sense.

As you can see below, it took the Redditor an entire five-round clip to drop the rival sniper on a nearby roof. While it's clear oDexisZA didn't fire off any shots at their opponent's head, the fact it took so many body shots should surely be taken into consideration when people argue the Kar98k is OP, right?

The main takeaway here very much seems to be that the Kar98k is reliable in the hands of those who actually have the aim and ability to pull of frequent headshots. I certainly wouldn't consider that as an OP weapon, then... but players do have a habit of calling anything that's killed them OP, as a lot of users on oDexisZA's post pointed out.

"If you want to know which guns are actually OP, just come here and see what people are whining about on any given day," one user commented. "It will be focused on slightly fewer guns than the ad hungry YouTubers."

"That would be every weapon that killed anyone ever," another user wisely pointed out in response. Don't expect a nerf to the Kar98k anytime soon, I'd say.
