Resident Evil has a fine history of fantastic(ally horrifying) mods. And I'm sure Capcom leans into this. Create a gigantic, hulking baddie that chases you around, and some smart so-and-so is absolutely going to turn them into Barney the Dinosaur, or a Teletubby, or Thomas the Tank Engine. Or simply put said hulk in an impossibly tight pair of Speedos and scar players for life.
And much like the sight of Mr X in some ever-so-small smalls, this new Resident Evil Village mod is one you'll be wishing you could unsee, instantly. Unless you, somehow, find it cute. In which case I'm never coming over yours for a playdate. Yes, as the image above so clearly depicts, someone, some absolute monster of a human being, has turned Chris Redfield into a baby. Well, his head, at least.
Love mods? Love Resident Evil? Have we got a video for you...
As Kotaku reports, this new 'Baby Over Chris Head' mod (hey, gotta respect that does-what-it-says-on-the-tin nomenclature) is the work of JTegh, and can be found on Nexus Mods, for those of you who want to infantilise their survival-horror fun. Said modder notes that they're aware that the baby's eyes don't move... But that just adds to the creepiness, doesn't it. Less human child, more terrifying doll. We've all had the nightmares.
Advert
This isn't JTegh's first Resident Evil Village (But Y'know, Freaky Kids Edition) mod, either - they've also produced a 'Mini Me Chris' mod which basically reverses what you see in 'Baby Over Chris Head'. Yep, it's an adult human bonce atop a wriggling baby's body. A face only a mother could love, or, an abomination that's best sent into the flaming depths of hell? You be the judge, by installing this stuff. You sicko.
In totally related Resident Evil Village coverage, House Beneviento is the scariest bit of the whole game, and franchise, and here's words on why; and of course there are already some incredibly NSFW Lady Dimitrescu mods that you're definitely not going to immediately click on, right now. We're not judging, but your internet history is yours to level with. As for our review of the eighth main Resident Evil game, you will find that here.
