Here we go again.

If you've been playing Call Of Duty: Warzone since launch, you'll know that its community is rarely happy with, well... anything. The updates are too big. The map is getting boring. Now the map has changed too much. This weapon OP. This weapon has been nerfed too much. You get the idea. There are plenty of valid criticisms buried in there, but there are also a lot of them.

Ever since Warzone merged with Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War last month and made some massive changes to the battle royale, people seem to be even less happy about the state of the game than they had been previously. Some of the more dramatic users out there have argued that Warzone - previously a Modern Warfare spinoff - has been "ruined" by the implementation of weapons and features from Treyarch's 2020 Call Of Duty.

In the latest chapter of this particular saga, players are now complaining that one of the weapons added to the battle royale from Black Ops Cold War has made the game "unplayable".

Over on Reddit, various users have complained that Black Ops Cold War's DMR is simply too overpowered for a game that relies on balance like Warzone. Redditor Jackfitz88 went so far as to call it the "worst meta gun that's ever been in the game", adding that it completely ruins the experience and makes it unplayable. It's a sentiment we're seeing echoed across Reddit, along with plenty of video evidence of the DMR's shortcomings.

The DMR is a two shot and the entire lobby is now using it," Jackfitz88 wrote. "This game is in an unplayable state with this gun and we all know Activision will nerf it in 2-3 months when everyone is done buying Cold War and buying their weapon skins."

No doubt Infinity Ward and Treyarch will hear these cries eventually and take action against the DMR, but for now it seems to be sewing chaos and discontent wherever it goes. Players are taking particular issue with the weapon's power on Rebirth Island, a new and much smaller battle royale map that was added at the start of the new season. In these small-scale skirmishes, the DMR is causing much more chaos and carnage than I think anyone had expected, or wanted.
