Gamer Calls Out Rockstar At Wrestling Show, Demanding 'GTA 6' Announcement

This is getting silly

It's frustrating, but Grand Theft Auto VI remains a complete and utter mystery to all of us. Predictably, the total lack of information on Rockstar's in-development open-world game after all these years has forced some fans to adopt more... drastic measures.

As you're probably painfully aware at this point Grand Theft Auto V launched way back in 2013. In that time, the game has been re-released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the form of an "expanded and enhanced edition" by the end of 2021. We've been left without any official news for the better part of a decade.

Take a look at some of the best GTA wins/fails below!

Just last week, a German fan crashed a live TV show and demanded the host - who has nothing to do with Rockstar or Grand Theft Auto - tell him when GTA VI was launching. More recently, an ambitious wrestling fan took a similar - if far less intense - approach.

As spotted by Dexerto, a gamer in the crowd at the latest AEW Dynamite event came prepared. As you can see below, they attended the live show ready to spread the word to the masses with a large bit of card that read "Announce GTA VI" on the front.

Dexerto points out that AEW usually gets at least one million viewers during the initial broadcast, so this is as good a way as any to let the people know it's time to announce the next Grand Theft Auto. Then again, given the massive popularity of GTA V I'm not sure the word needs spreading. We're all waiting and we're all more than ready for an announcement.

Unfortunately GTA VI is most likely still a very, very long way away. Last we'd heard from an insider report, Rockstar was happy to take as long as needed on the game to try and mitigate crunch, meaning the game might not see the light of day until 2025 at the earliest.
