Fortnite players now have the privilege of playing as Master Chief from Halo, as announced at last night's The Game Awards.
The battle royale has had a flurry of famous faces jump into the game, including the Mandalorian, Kratos, and Darryl and Michonne from The Walking Dead. As ever, anything goes in Fortnite, and as well as the Master Chief skin, there are a number of other goodies on offer. There's a UNSC Pelican glider (officially titled the "Mini-D77 Troop Carrier"), the Battle Legend Back Bling, a Gravity Hammer pickaxe, and a Lil Warthog emote, all bundled together with the skin for 2,600 V-Bucks in the in-game store. If you just want the skin, that'll set you back 1,500 V-Bucks.

However, if you play a match on the Xbox Series X, you'll get a swishy matte-black variant of the Master Chief skin. Tidy. Also, Halo: Combat Evolved's Blood Gulch map will arrive in Creative Mode, along with a Capture the Flag mode. Season 5 of Fortnite is all about bounty hunters, and with Darryl and Michonne set to step in on December 16th, it's anyone's guess who is on the horizon. According to this image of Jonesy's backpacks, the clues range from classic '80s villains to iconic video game characters of the early noughties.

Take a gander. Among his belongings, there are red and blue jelly beans that look a lot like the pills that Neo must choose in The Matrix. As aforementioned, anything goes in Fortnite, so increasing the level of Keanu Reeves in the game by 100% isn't out of the question. The sunglasses might be a nod to the Terminator, and the bag of coins might have been tossed to a Witcher (oh, valley of plenty). There's also a baseball bat and hand wraps, which some are interpreting to be a tease for Scout from Team Fortress 2. In any event, we won't hear more for a little while.
