'Call Of Duty Warzone' Offering Double XP Next Week, But Not For Everybody

Make those games count.

If you happen to play Call of Duty: Warzone on a PlayStation I have good news for you: you're up for double XP this weekend. Sony's Play At Home campaign has been providing entertainment to gamers stuck at home during the pandemic and although the first round of goodies was single-player focused, this around of freebies is all about multiplayer.

Play At Home doesn't require PlayStation Plus or a subscription, it's completely free so don't fret about upfront costs. The offer allows gamers to claim five double XP tokens to use when they like. Each token will last an hour (so make those games count, operator) and you can begin claiming these from May 20 at 10:00 am PDT (18:00 BST, May 21 02:00 JST) through June 6 at 11:59 pm PDT (June 7 07:59 BST, 15:59 JST).

Sometimes playing Warzone isn't about the XP, it's about the giggle you can have with your mates. Here are some of our favourite wins and fails we've seen in Warzone...

To claim the five double XP Tokens available to players, all you have to do is head in-game to the Message of the Day and claim them there. Simple and elegant. Sort of a shame it's only applicable to PlayStation gamers though, Activision should share the love further sometime.

And, as a nice surprise, it isn't just Warzone that is getting free content this weekend, Play At Home is offering similar deals in a bunch of other multiplayer titles between May 17 and June 7. From Brawlhalla to World of Tanks, from Rogue Company to Warframe there are a lot of titles that can offer you additional rewards next week. To find out more click here.

Also, if you're interested in free stuff, today is the last day you can claim a fantastic action-adventure title for free on Play At Home. You're really not going to watch to miss this opportunity on the *ahem* Horizon.
