The Horniest Moment In 'Resident Evil Village' Looked Very Different Behind-The-Scenes

Looking a little worse for werewolf.

As I'm sure you're aware, Resident Evil Village is finally out today. At last, all you gamers who have been thirsting for the villainous Lady Dimitrescu over the last few months can finally learn the hard way that she's not gonna shag you. Not in that way, at least.

Dimitrescu is very much supposed to be a terrifying monster. Is she beautiful? Yes, hauntingly so! But she also has massive claws and a hulking form, and is quite clearly not to be effed with. She's basically Mr X from Resident Evil 2, in that she's a relentless hunter. The only difference between her and Resi 2's monster is that nobody wants to sleep with Mr X. At least nobody I know wants to sleep with Mr X.

Anyway, if you want to see Dimitrescu in a whole new light, check out this brand-new behind-the-scenes footage of actor Maggie Robertson bringing the character to life through the magic of motion capture. Is it less scary and infinitely more silly looking? Yes, but that's mo-cap for you. Take a look below!

While Lady Dimitrescu's height comes in at an impressive nine feet, six inches in the game, Robertson herself obviously isn't that tall. Am I a little disappointed Capcom didn't find a real giant-sized vampire lady to play the part? Yes, but I'll get over it.

Perhaps my favourite part of this making-of montage is the moment in which we're treated to a "previsualisation" of one of the game's strangest - and arguably horniest - scenes.

In the game, there's a moment in which Dimitrescu samples some of the players blood, all while making direct eye contact. Seeing this moment replicated by the developers IRL as one suckles on the other's hand is deeply, deeply odd. I imagine that was a strange day at work for everyone involved.

Anyway, Resident Evil Village is out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series consoles, and PC. You can read our review of the game right here.
