It's time. Your fingers are itchy, your eyes are furtively scanning every screen you see. Notifications ring and sing in your ears, spreading adverts squarely in the way of whatever you're doing. Of course, "whatever you're doing" is pointless today. It's Black Friday, and we're here to show you the deals and the deets on the big three's sales. There are some real good'uns this time round, you'll be pleased to know.

PlayStation 4

First things first. A twelve-month subscription to PlayStation Now is 25% off, costing £37.49. If you're coming to the end of your PlayStation Plus membership, I definitely recommend nabbing Now until 2021. The collection is refreshed every month, with titles like F1 2020, Days Gone, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, and a lot of LEGO games. These are all available to stream or download, and it's a great way of discovering games you might have glossed over in the Store.

God of War, WRC 9, and NBA 2K21 are a whopping 50% off, slashing their price tags to £8, £25, and £30 respectively. God of War for £8 is practically daylight robbery, and DOOM Eternal for £18 is worth your consideration. We think it's an excellent experience of ripping and tearing, with "more developed, more thought out" world-building and a banging soundtrack.

DLCs and expansion packs are also counted in Sony's sales, and there are savings to soak up on The Sims 4 packs like Eco Lifestyle, Seasons, Realm of Magic, and more. And, Persona 5 Royal Ultimate Edition plus its Persona Bundle comes to less than £50. We never saw it coming. All the PlayStation deals are right here.

Xbox One

Nearly 700 titles are featured in Microsoft's Xbox Black Friday sales, which is mega. Fortunately, we've dredged through them and spotted deals that you'll struggle to deny. If you're running out of ideas for "nights in" during lockdown, Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are bundled together for £15. Split that between your flatmates and it comes to a crumb of the original price, and its ridiculous levels and simple controls will be easy to pick up for those who aren't well-acquainted with gaming.

Expectedly, the Halo series has seen some discounts, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection shaving more than a tenner of its usual price, and Halo 5: Guardians is less than £8 at the moment. There are also some indies that are worth your while, like Subnautica, Hotshot Racing, and Cuphead which are all included in the sales.

Arguably, the shining star in this line-up is No Man's Sky, which is less than £20, and an utter bargain. Though it had a shaky launch, Hello Games has slowly yet steadily improved the game over the years, and released bumper content packs like alien wildlife, aquatic worlds, online and VR play, and mechs. Everyone loves a mech, don't they? Finally, Mortal Kombat 11 is just £16, and its Aftermath DLC is 50% off, too. Tidy. Nintendo Switch

Possibly the most enticing of the Black Friday deals are those on the Switch, which we know to be a pretty pricey platform. Nintendo's Cyber Deals offer up a platter of very tempting sales, with a range of genres from first-party heavy hitters to third-party gems.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is 33% off, as well as Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Astral Chain. We thought Link's Awakening was adorable, and that it brought all of the charm of the original onto the new platform, imbued with our imagination. Moreover, it's a dinky but dense game, and its diverse environments and challenges make it feel like a proper island tucked away in this strange world.

And, Astral Chain was a surprise smash-hit from last year, and if you're seeking a dose of zany cyberpunk following the numerous delays to Cyberpunk 2077, we'd recommend diving into this game with vigor. Hefty savings are to be had with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and The Outer Worlds, which are all half-off in the sale. Lastly, if you've had your eye on Tales of Vesperia or Dragon Ball FighterZ, you'll be laughing, as these two titles are 75% off and 84% off respectively.
