‘Call Of Duty: Warzone' Squad Set World Record 162 Kills In A Game

What started with a wager, ended with a record

A Call of Duty: Warzone squad has broken the record for most kills in the game, and wow - we don't know if anyone will ever be able to break the record on this one. In a wager between four friends, streamer Aydan "Aydan" Conrad's team split into two to race to get the most kills for a prize of $500. What ensues is a world-record-breaking streak from both sets of friends, totalling a massive 162 kills altogether.

According to Eurogamer, the original world record wasn't even close to Aydan and his team's - 143 kills is impressive in its own right but it's still a hefty 19 away from the incredible show put on on stream from the new record holders.

Talking about how the match happened, Aydan says "I was casually playing some wagers - this was a $500 dollar pot wager, we had $125 dollars each player put in. It was a 2v2 - me and Almxnd versus Newbz and ScummN. We started playing and we were frying everybody, man. I noticed at one point I was at 21 kills with like, 90 [players] left or something, or 100 left. It was kind of nuts. So as we're going through this wager we're noticing we're at like 70 kills - we're on the squad world-record-breaking potential.

"So we're all just like 'screw it' - we just start popping UAVs. And at this point none of us even care about the wager, we're just playing to try to maybe break the world record."

Aydan does also address the thing most people who know Warzone must be thinking - what were the quality of the players? This couldn't have been a good lobby in the first place so is the record really that impressive? Well, as Aydan says - "This is a bot lobby for sure, I mean any world-record game you're going to see is a bot lobby, that's just how it is. Somehow we got- had to have been a Bronze lobby and we just fricking torched these kids."

If you want to watch the entire run for yourself you can check out the stream uncut here on Twitch (from 9 hrs 40 mins onwards), but otherwise, Aydan has a well-edited version of the whole ordeal on his YouTube channel for you to enjoy.
