Gucci Is Selling Limited Edition Xbox Series Xs For How Much?!

Gucci Is Selling Limited Edition Xbox Series Xs For How Much?!

An Xbox for the elite

More and more we’re seeing high-end fashion combining their expertise with gaming. You may have seen collaborations between League of Legends and Louis Vuitton for example back in 2020. It seems that gaming is now cool enough that the most expansive brands want a piece of the action, and that extends to Gucci as it is collaborating with Xbox to make some exclusive editions of its flagship console, the Xbox Series X.

The Gucci Twitter account has been posting pictures of the collaboration and it’s really… something. I mean if you’re into having a case specifically for your console, and you’re not worried that the piece of tech is going to get smudges and stains all over it while out under your TV, this is really an incredible collector’s item. These sorts of things are going to go for hundreds of thousands of pounds in decades to come, but how much does it cost right now?

Well, GamesRadar+ says it goes on sale on November 17, 2021 for $10,000 - and there are only 100 editions of this console. That’s… a lot huh. Included in this package is not only a monogrammed Xbox Series X but also two wireless controllers and the case to hold everything in which is admittedly gorgeous. Oh also you get an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription which means at least you’ll have hundreds of games available on the system right away.

Oh did, I forget to mention that the monogram is supposed to mean ‘Good Game’? The Gucci website says: “An evolution of the original Gucci Rhombi design from the '30s, the GG pattern becomes a wordplay—not only representing Guccio Gucci's initials but also the gaming phrase 'Good Game.'“ Very clever.

Well if you’re in the market for something as lavish as a designer brand console, this seems right up your street. If I had access to one, lord knows I’m not playing that console, I’m hiding it and the case somewhere far out of reach for the next twenty years.
