A lucky guy has found an incredibly rare game on his aunt’s PlayStation 4 and it just so happens to be one of the scariest games ever.

Reddit user Chomper731, shared his secondary PlayStation 4 console with his auntie. So, out of interest, he checked out the library of games to see what she was playing. To his surprise, his auntie was playing Man: Game of the Year. Honestly, it’s there, look!

Check out the latest trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 below:

As exciting as this is, the real gem is just underneath it, and what a treasure it is:

We are of course talking about the legendary P.T. This was a Playable Teaser for a game that never came to be.

P.T was announced during Gamescom 2014 and sent the internet into a frenzy. This very brief game was scary like no other, as players desperately tried to solve the mystery of a gruesome murder while being stalked in a haunted house by the sinister entity known as Lisa.

Players online were working together to solve its challenging puzzles and came up with all sorts of fan theories as to why they were trapped in this haunting, endless loop of horrors. When players finished P.T, it was revealed that this was actually a Playable Teaser for Silent Hills, and yes, that’s plural. This would have been a game that featured various dimensions of Silent Hill.

It would be developed by Hideo Kojima under Kojima Productions, along with the creative mind of Guillermo del Toro and would star Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead. In all honesty, I’ve never seen a game generate such hype quite like P.T and this was surely going to be a massive hit for Konami, right.

Sadly, following a messy dispute with Hideo Kojima, Konami not only cancelled Silent Hills, but it seemingly went out of its way to wipe all existence of P.T from the internet. Not only was the P.T demo removed from the PS Store, but Konami even blocked players from re-downloading it. An act that many fans have never forgiven Konami for.

If you never uninstalled P.T from your hard drive, you would have been fine to access it. Unfortunately, if you picked up a new PS4 console, you were unable to re-download it, unless you took the crafty steps of using a Proxy server.

However, just a few short months ago, modder/hacker, Lance McDonald discovered a way to download P.T onto a PS5. That being said, it’s just a shame that Konami has made so much effort to prevent players from experiencing this unique demo, rather than letting players just enjoy a piece of gaming history.

Sure, we do have the Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team on the way, as well as a plethora of other new Silent Hill games. One of those games is Townfall, and an insider claims it’s a follow-up to P.T. However, that is a mere rumour at this time.

Yet, no matter how good that SH2 remake may or may not be, fans will forever wonder what could have been if Konami had just let P.T and Silent Hills be. Oh and no Konami, I still haven't forgiven you.
