Hogwarts Legacy fans are hyped for new co-op multiplayer adventure

Wizarding roguelite Spells & Secrets is the perfect game for Hogwarts Legacy fans who are craving a cosy co-op adventure.

Personally, I’m a major fan of the ‘cosy’ game - and I know I’m not alone. As many of us are entering the colder months of the year, it is oh so very lovely to snuggle up under a blanket with a warm drink and a game that just oozes comfort and relaxation.

If that scene sounds appealing to you, and you just so happen to be a fan of Hogwarts Legacy, you’re going to want to check out this new wizarding roguelite. Alchemist Interactive are gearing up to release Spells & Secrets - and it looks truly delightful. Set within the Academy of Greifenstein, Spells & Secrets will allow you to play as a student wizard who’s tasked with defending the school from an array of magical creatures (the evil kind, not the sweet warm kind), whilst solving a variety of mysteries and sourcing powerful artefacts.

Take a look at Spells & Secrets in action below.

Devs described the game as a “deep and motivating rogue-lite experience that invites newcomers to this rewarding genre with its adventure story”. As we all know, Hogwarts Legacy was a single-player wizarding experience, but Spells & Secrets will allow you to play co-op with your family and friends. You’ll additionally also have the chance to totally customise the appearance of your student wizard.

Devs are keen to highlight that you’ll have great freedom in the character creator, with no clothing or appearance options locked to any particular gender. Throughout the game, you’ll also have ample opportunity to level up, and it’s teased that the Academy of Greifenstein is “ever-changing”. Consider me positively intrigued.

Spells & Secrets is set to launch on 6 November. In the meantime though, you can check out a free demo which is playable now on Steam. The game will also launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
