'Hogwarts Legacy' Finally Has A Release Window

'Hogwarts Legacy' Finally Has A Release Window

We'll be returning to Hogwarts soon enough....

For many Harry Potter fans, Hogwarts Legacy is an extremely exciting prospect. The opportunity to dive headfirst into the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, be placed in a house, make friends, go to classes, and do everything we dreamed of doing if we got a letter of acceptance from the school. And though you may be a little old to get a letter now, it seems that there is now a release window for the game to suck us back in to the nostalgia.

On the Hogwarts Legacy subreddit, one eagle-eyed fan spotted that a “Special Feature” interview with Warner Bros in Toy World Magazine hinted at the release for the game. The interview mentions the third film in the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them series, The Secrets of Dumbledore. This film is set to release on April 8th in the UK, and then the company mentions that the second major release of 2022 is Hogwarts Legacy

Here is the trailer for Hogwart’s Legacy...

Though it’s nothing definite it seems that we’re going to get the game after April at least, and also still see it in 2022. The exact quote says: “As for new content, we have two major releases: A film and a game, that will be sure to generate incredible excitement amongst fans. The first is the film release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, now announced to be released on the 8th of April in the UK. The Third instalment is sure to be a real fan favourite.

“The second major release of 2022 will be for a new console game: Hogwarts Legacy. The reaction to the trailer for this has been amazing and it looks set to be a huge success. We know that gaming is such an important part of the market and one that we had to be involved in. From what we’ve seen, the launch will be well worth the wait and will deliver a unique way for fans to interact with the franchise.”

So after April it is. Warner Bros may want to space these two things out to cover 2022 as a whole, so I’d guess maybe a Q3 release window, between you and me. Additionally, it seems that Warner Bros is keen on video games as a business venture. If Hogwarts Legacy goes well, who knows what updates, DLC, and even sequels it will get.
