There are few words to describe the monumental success of Minecraft over the years. Since its initial release for PC in 2011, the sandbox building and crafting game has expanded to Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, mobile devices and VR, as well as received countless updates adding new content.

Take a look at the latest Minecraft update, Trails & Tales!

It’s estimated the title has over 140 million monthly players and is still heavily featured on content and streaming platforms like YouTube and Twitch.

Minecraft is currently in the middle of its annual Summer Celebration, and is giving players free customisation gifts across several days just for logging onto the game. This was shared by ColinLab in a Reddit post, along with instructions on how to claim the freebies.

Fourteen gifts are up for grabs, all of which can be claimed across a 14 day period, but there’s no immediate rush, as players can claim gifts from previous days provided it's done before 17 July, when the event concludes.

All gifts are customisation options for your avatar, which are broken down into themed sets, like the Archeologist set, Bamboo set, Cherry Blossom set and more. If you’re looking for some stylish new threads to rock while you’re mining or exploring, these are definitely what you need.

The Summer Celebration event also includes some new worlds to explore, like Crab Cove and a gigantic theme park map.

In other news, a Minecrafter recently created an in-game date for their partner, touching the hearts of fans everywhere.

Minecraft is currently available on just about any device you can think of, including Xbox One. Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
