Rocksteady Games has shown off brand-new gameplay footage for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but fans are unimpressed.
The developer is famous for crafting the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Trilogy, which wrapped up in 2015 with the release of the legendary Batman: Arkham Knight. The last game in the DC trilogy finalised the story, but left enough open for a continuation of the universe, eventually leading to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The supervillains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark and Captain Boomerang are brought together to complete a seemingly impossible task: kill a compromised Justice League laying waste to the planet. Heroes turned villains include Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and The Flash.

First impressions of the game were less than ideal, with many criticising the shift from beat-em-up gameplay to that of a third-person shooter. Players will be able to take control of the four characters, all of which have their own unique weapons and abilities, like Harley’s grapnel gun, Deadshot’s jetpack and Shark’s incredible strength.
It was also said the game will include live-service elements, like a battle pass, as well as require an online connection to function, even in single-player.
Eventually, the game was delayed from its 2023 release to early 2024 and has now returned with new gameplay footage, though it's still failing to interest players. Take a look at the latest gameplay deep-dive below.
Discussing the game on a Reddit post by Turbostrider27, fans didn’t hold back with their opinions, with some calling it a “disaster” in the making.

One said: “This looks exactly the same as before? Call me a cynic but I feel like the delay was them hoping they could ride out all the negativity surrounding this game.”
Another added, “It’s almost impossible to believe that this is from the people who made Arkham Knight.” One even declared the end of Rocksteady’s DC supremacy, saying, “RIP Rocksteady.”
It’s not looking good for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Instead of killing off Earth’s strongest superheroes, Rocksteady has seemingly killed its chances of releasing a worthy successor to the Batman: Arkham games. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is set to launch on 2 February 2024 for new-gen platforms and PC.
