Nicolas Cage is coming to the multiplayer survival horror game, Dead by Daylight.

Nicolas Cage is one of the most beloved actors on the planet starring in a variety of fan-favourite and cult-classic movies whether it's comedy, romance, action, horror and everything in between.

Yet, for the first time ever, Nicolas Cage is coming to the world of video games in the aforementioned Dead by Daylight. Not only will Cage be a playable Survivor, but he will also be lending his voice bringing all the charm and charisma that only the great man himself can deliver.

As far as we’re aware, Nicolas Cage will also be the first actor to play themselves in Dead by Daylight. In most cases, new Survivors or Killers are either licensed properties from other movies or video games such as Stranger Things, The Ring, Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

So perhaps the appearance of Nicolas Cage as a Survivor will inspire other popular TV and movie actors to make a surprise appearance in this multiplayer horror.

At this time, there’s not a lot of information on what perks his Survivor will have or what story he will tell (if any). That being said, we do know that he will be a standalone Survivor, which means that he won’t be accompanied by his own map. Which is a shame.

Developers Behavior Interactive has promised that further details on the Nicolas Cage Survivor will be provided on Wednesday, 5 July. So we’ve got a long wait unless leaked information makes its way onto the internet.

In related news, thanks to a rumour, the Dead by Daylight community went into meltdown with the news that Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre was being removed from the game. Thankfully, Behavior Interactive debunked that rumour to be nothing more than a load of hokum.
