Let's put a smile on that face.

Rocksteady's trilogy of Batman games - Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight - are quite easily some of the finest superhero video games of all time. Combining beautifully designed open worlds with a Metroidvania approach to puzzle solving and exploration, tight, combo-based combat, and three brilliant self-contained stories that still manage to weave a wider, epic arc throughout the entire trilogy, these are essential titles for any Batman fan, and a trilogy that every gamer, regardless of their love for the Dark Knight, really should check out.

Batman: Arkham Collection could release tomorrow.

Good news then, as all three games in the Arkham trilogy are free on the Epic Games Store for the next week. To be clear, that's three of the best AAA games of the last two decades, available for the low, low price of nothing - no subscription fee, no strings, just good old fashioned freebies. Did I mention that Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy from the 90's animated series reprise their roles as Joker and Batman respectively? Iconic.

As if that wasn't sweet enough of a deal, you'll also be able to download the entire LEGO Batman trilogy for free. That's LEGO Batman: The Videogame, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. They're not exactly up there with the Arkham games, but they're still damn good fun and easily among the better LEGO games out there. Again, they're free, so what do you actually have to lose by downloading them and checking them out? Unless you're one of these people that assumes using the Epic Store is tantamount to selling your soul to the devil of course.

Provided you don't have a problem with using the Epic Store, you can head right here and claim your free games. Once they're download, they're yours to keep. Forever. I honest to God cannot stress enough how incredible a deal this is. It's not like any of the games being offered currently go for anything more than £15, but to get all six of them at once for free? Wow. I'm genuinely a little salty that I recently paid for Arkham Knight again.

It's likely that Epic has decided to offer this generous selection of games in recognition of the upcoming Batman Day, which is very much a real day that people celebrate. This Saturday, September 21, will mark the 80th anniversary of the Dark Knight detective, so do your part and play through one of his most exciting adventures to date.
