Assassin’s Creed Valhalla often gets a bad rep for being far too big to be fun, as well as being nothing like an Assassin’s Creed game, which is a shame because it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Ubisoft has always excelled at making stunning open worlds. While there’s often very little to do in them besides wander from A to B, you know it’s going to treat you to some beautiful scenery along the way. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is no different, with a world so realistic it’s hard to believe it’s a game sometimes.

Unfortunately Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is often called a terrible Assassin’s Creed game, mainly because it’s got absolutely nothing to do with assassins. It’s the latest game in the series to be presented through an RPG format, with the next being Assassin’s Creed Red, which releases later this year and will take players to Feudal Japan.

That hasn’t stopped fans from praising the visuals though, with one post by QueasyIsland providing comparisons between the in-game locations and the real-life ones they’re based on.
Fans took the opportunity to hit the game with endless amounts of praise, saying while the gameplay let it down in the end, the visuals still make it worth playing.
“Valhalla's nature is honestly my favourite, with so much detail and beauty to it. Traversing it is more fun than just teleporting around.”
“If only they made the game a bit less repetitive. Everything else about it is really beautiful.”
