The beloved reptile Youtuber and TikToker Brian Barczyk has passed away at the age of 54.

Barczyk is one of the most popular animal influencers on the platforms, and made his name through videos showing off various reptiles, which he adored.

At the time of writing his YouTube channel sits at around 5.1 million subscribers, whereas his TikTok account has around 7.2 followers in total. He’s collaborated with several huge influencers in the past, most notably MrBeast and Coyote Peterson.

Barczyk even made TV appearances, like when he hosted the Discovery Channel TV series Venom Hunters. In this show he’d travel the world on the lookout for various species of reptile and show them off for the camera, informing viewers of their behaviours, their habitats, day to day lives etc.

Unfortunately Barczyk has since passed away at the age of 54, following a long battle with cancer. The news broke on 16 January when his official Instagram account, with over 1.7 million followers, made a new post announcing his passing.

The Instagram post read “On behalf of the Barczyk family and our entire team at The Reptarium, it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian Barczyk.”

It went on to speak to Barczyk’s passion for the reptile world, saying that he always strived to educate his many viewers, and that over his career he has “touched innumerable hearts and minds globally.”

The post ended by saying: “We’ve lost an exceptional individual – a visionary, mentor, and friend. For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian’s absence leaves an immeasurable void.”

Brian Barczyk will surely be missed by his many followers and fans, many of which have contributed to an outpouring of condolences for his family. Nevertheless his content will remain live for the foreseeable future, as it continues to teach and inspire those interested in herpetology.
