Call Of Duty fans believe the renowned Zombies mode peaked during the Call Of Duty: Black Ops days.
While I wouldn’t call myself a fan of Call Of Duty, I do have plenty of fond memories playing the “Five” map on the Black Ops Zombies mode with friends. Exploring the Pentagon, looking for easter eggs, trying out whatever glitches or exploits were popular at the time to last as many rounds as we could, some good memories.

Others are in the same boat too, as a recent Reddit thread by Finn_Flame highlighted what many believe to be the golden-age of Call Of Duty, many of which can currently be experienced all over again thanks to Xbox and Activision bringing back the multiplayer servers for several titles.

The four games showcased in the Reddit post were Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, as well as Call Of Duty Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2. It’s worth noting the latter three have had their servers revived, so you can play the multiplayer modes right now if you still own a copy.
While many celebrated the campigns, the multiplayer and how easy it was to navigate the menus compared to the latest releases, it was a comment about the Zombies mode that caught our eye. The comment by emotional_e-girl said: “Wow, literally all the Call of Duty's that I played before I quit. The zombie all nighters playing with the boys. Will forever be grateful for these memories.”
That comment kicked off an entirely new discussion about the joy we all felt playing Zombies with the squad, leading many to reminisce about what they’d call a much simpler time of life.
“I don't think any game made me want to play nonstop more than Black Ops Zombies. Kino all night... So good. Tastes like Jacked Ranch Hot Wing Doritos and Gatorade.”

While the latest Call Of Duty games are nothing to sneeze out, it’s not surprising that so many fans would rather relive the glory days, away from microtransactions, battle-passes and other frowned upon gaming business practices.
