Donald Trump’s $250 million fraud trial is now underway, but viewers were more interested in his lawyer’s gaming laptop than the former US president.
Trump, who’s once again planning to run for the US presidency in 2024, is currently standing trial following accusations that he exaggerated his net worth in order to more favourable loan terms.

Images of the trial were shared online, and while most of the discourse was on the former president himself, eagle-eyed gamers realised one of his lawyers had rocked up with a very expensive gaming laptop.

The laptop belongs to Alina Habba, and is apparently an Asus ROG gaming laptop. During the trial, the RGB lights on the keyboard and logo changed colours, confirming that it was some sort of gaming laptop.
It was spotted and shared on Twitter by Ryan K. Rigney, who said: “Gamer lawyer brought the 2070ti Asus laptop with the blue underglow to the court hearing.”
Gamers were highly amused, and couldn’t help but poke fun at the attorney by suggesting she was playing games before and during the trial, as well as speculation as to what games she might play on the laptop.

Other fans were a bit more fair, pointing out that while the laptop was designed for gaming in mind, the specifications and power of the hardware would make it ideal for working from as well.

In case you’re curious, the laptop is apparently an ROG Strix G17 G712 model, which currently sells for around $1,700. It was originally released in 2021 and boasts a 17-inch screen, RTX 2070 Super GPU, 2.3 GHz Intel i7, 16GB of DDR4 memory, plus an RGB keyboard.
Alina Habba has yet to confirm what games she plays on it.
