GTA 6's singleplayer needs fun cheat codes, fans agree

Cheat codes are an absolute must-have for GTA VI, please keep them in Rockstar Games

With GTA VI set to revolutionise open-world gaming in 2025, wishlists for features and game mechanics fans want to see most are floating around the internet.

Rockstar Games gave us our first look at GTA VI before Christmas, completely blowing us away with the photorealism and open-world details. The game will be set in a fictional version of Flordia called Leonida, and real-life Floridians have commented on how scarily accurate the game adaptation is to the wild things that go on there.

Take a look at that trailer for yourself below

While we got to see some of the open-world locations we’ll be rampaging through and a closer look at some of the unique NPCs like the fan-favourite “Hammer Lady,” we didn’t see any gameplay from Lucia or Jason’s perspective.

In the meantime, at least before the second trailer drops, fans hope to learn more about the planned gameplay modifiers aka the cheat codes.

Cheats have been present in many past GTA games, meaning GTA VI should be no different. Aside from basic invincibility or unlocking all the weapons in the game, there are also more unique cheats. These range from changing the appearance of vehicles, messing with the game’s gravity, or making your character soar through the air without a parachute.

In a Reddit post by Successful-Lab-134, fans were asked what new cheats they’d like to see added in GTA VI, or what cheats they’d like to return from previous entries.

Suggestions ranged from pausing your wanted level so you could cause mayhem without police interference, whereas others wanted MORE police presence with Riot Mode/State of Emergency cheat.

Some said they’d even be content with “everything that was in San Andreas and more.”

One fan made the hilarious suggestion of “Florida Man Mode,” which would give the player a “1000% HP boost, 500% stamina boost, permanent intoxication effect, the character appears only in their underwear, and their voice lines are just strings of slurred profanity.”

Given Rockstar’s talent for injecting plenty of silly juice into its games, it’s a safe bet GTA VI will have plenty of spicy cheats to fictional Florida a little more cursed than it was before.
