GTA 6 alleged trailer leaks online ahead of official reveal

The official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has allegedly leaked online, and will apparently drop at the end of the month.

The official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has allegedly leaked online, and will apparently drop at the end of the month.

Rockstar Games is yet to confirm its plans to share the announcement trailer, though fans are confident they’ll have something planned for October, especially since that’s when Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both got official reveals.

GTA VI will reportedly have a brand-new Vice City, take a look at what that might look like below

Some fans are even speculating that Rockstar has purposefully released all of its planned October content for Grand Theft Auto Online early, in order to leave room at the end of the month for a GTA VI announcement.

Now, there could be some further credibility to fan theories, as an anonymous fan reckons they’ve seen the official GTA VI trailer, twice, and has shared all the details online.

This was shared by the Reddit user Top_Information3534 with a post titled: “Alleged Trailer leak.”

The leaker said that the trailer is indeed planned to drop on 26 October like many believed, and will be just under two minutes long. It’ll apparently feature voiceover from the two new protagonists, as well as plenty of shots of Vice City, its buildings, people, fauna and flora.

What the trailer apparently didn’t have was an official release date for the game, which is rumoured to drop sometime in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and potentially PC unless Rockstar decides to delay its release.

Fans were cautiously optimistic about the legitimacy of the leak, with many believing the supposed contents of the trailer sound like the kind of things Rockstar would include, but until we see it with our own eyes, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt.

One user wrote: “Saved this for the 26th. I don't believe it but we'll see.”

“I mean here’s hoping," another added.

“I believe it just from the way it's worded. You know when s*** is made up or not," a third chimed in. "This feels legit.”

Now all we can do is wait for 26 October to roll around, and hope that Rockstar has an official announcement trailer ready and waiting for us.
