In case you were unaware, it's pretty much all but confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy is going to get a sequel at some point.
Shortly following the game’s initial release in February, it was revealed that Warner Bros. sees Hogwarts Legacy as a long-term franchise, and if that doesn’t mean that the company isn’t already dreaming up one or more potential sequels, I don’t know what does. Fans have gone absolutely wild with this information, and have some seriously high expectations for the seemingly inevitable follow-up.

Recent fan suggestions for Hogwarts Legacy 2 have included having a certain fan-favourite student return as the main antagonist, or alternatively having the whole game be based around the Triwizard Tournament (which could even take place in a different wizarding school). Over on Reddit today, others have been discussing the potential of having a sequel take place in an open-world London, and when you consider how many iconic Harry Potter locations are found in the city, it makes total sense.

“As good as world in the first game is, if they reuse the same world it won't be anywhere near as impactful. London seems like a great place to host the sequel,” sdeslandesnz wrote. “Diagon Alley, The Ministry of Magic, St Mungo’s and the Knight Bus could all be recreated. The world could be a bustling metropolis where you are not sure which NPCs are magical and which are Muggles. London would be a risky and bold choice but I think it would have the biggest payoff vs reusing the same map.”
There’s no doubt that expanding on the explorable wizarding world would be a massive hit with fans - it’s honestly pretty shocking that Diagon Alley wasn’t featured in Hogwarts Legacy in any way. Take notes, devs.
