The Witcher 3 surprise story expansion officially coming this month

The Witcher 3 surprise story expansion officially coming this month

Geralt has a new challenge to face, and it could be his scariest yet

If you finished The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and felt like there was more story to delve into, you’re in luck because a surprise expansion is headed your way.

A surprise for you, not Geralt – we assume he knows what’s going to happen to him already given the fact he’s lived in.

But we digress...

This The Witcher expansion isn’t some hidden area you can find, but rather a Dark Horse comic due to release on 8 May.

And to think, Geralt thought The Wild Hunt was as tough as it'd get...

The Witcher: Corvo Bianco is said to be “endgame” for Geralt, with that very claim coming from one of the writers who’s helped create these wonderful worlds we explore.

Bartosz Sztybor said, “For all who know Geralt, Corvo Bianco is his endgame. The end of his journey, one and only place where he can retire – taking a break from killing monsters and trying to figure out how to make his own wine.”

Sounds vastly different from the Geralt we’ve come to know, but no less intriguing because of it.

Considering how relieved Witcher fans are by the recent string of quiet cancellations, it’s lovely to see the franchise thriving despite what Netflix has done to it.

“Based on the hit games by CD Projekt Red, Geralt and Yennefer reunite on the page to find out just how dangerous the simple life can be when The Witcher: Corvo Bianco."

Not hunting monsters can be scary, we agree, so it’ll be fun to see how Geralt and Yen fare during this daunting new era for them both.

The Witcher: Corvo Bianco is one of five comics that will explore this tale.

Should you wish to preorder the upcoming comic, you can do so now. Otherwise, you need only wait a few more days until 8 May.
