Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg officially confirmed for Call Of Duty

Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg officially confirmed for Call Of Duty

Let's go to the beach-each.

Well, the rumours were true. Nicki Minaj is officially joining Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone as a playable Operator, alongside Snoop Dogg and 21 Savage.

It was claimed by a leaker earlier this month Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage would be joining the games, but you’d have been forgiven for doubting it at the time. While the Call of Duty series is no stranger to special guest appearances (Snoop Dogg was also added to Vanguard and the original Warzone last year, after all, and he also appeared in Call of Duty: Ghosts via a Multiplayer Voice Pack), these celebrity cameos are arguably the biggest yet.

Take a look at some brilliant wins and fails from the original Call of Duty: Warzone below.

Over on the Call of Duty blog, it’s been confirmed in a new post that the three celebs will be introduced in the games’ fifth season (which is set to begin on 2 August) as part of a ’50 years of hip hop’ event. Snoop Dogg will be available in the launch window, Nicki Minaj can be purchased “in-season”, and 21 Savage (who’s only been teased with a silhouetted image so far) will be playable “mid-season”.

“Nicki Minaj first teamed up with Call of Duty earlier in 2022, because yes, she holds the control like the gamers… do we have a problem with that?” the blog post reads. “Now in Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone, she’s ready to make all rival Operators pound the alarm, as Nicki Minaj has her own Store Bundle, perfect for those who think they have good form across Battle Royale, DMZ, Multiplayer, and Special Ops. Nicki is known to break barriers in hip hop, and this is no different; come Season Five, she will be Call of Duty’s first-ever self-named female Operator.”

Right now, it’s not clear how much these three Operators are going to cost.
