Here's a little something you might not know: if you own a Nintendo Switch, you're actually sat on a mountain of free games. And when I say mountain, I'm not spinning a molehill into something bigger for effect.
Lord knows there are plenty of bangers on Nintendo Switch as it is. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom was one of my most recent 10/10 scores. It's also packed with indie bangers, classic games, and a bunch of solid third-party ports. You're pretty much constantly spoiled for choice, but if you're after more, there's always the free stuff.

As I'm sure you probably know, the Nintendo Switch has plenty of free demos you can download and play. In that respect it's like any other console. What you might not know is just how many free demos there actually are.

Firstly, if this whole demo business is somehow actually genuinely completely new information to you, downloading demos is super easy.
You can either head to the Switch eShop and search for a specific game to see if it has a demo, or you can use the search function and choose to specifically only look through software with a demo available.
At the time of writing, there are no less than 800 demos on the Nintendo Switch store. These range from huge games like A Plague Tale: Innocence and Resident Evil 2 to smaller titles like Unavowed and Star Ocean: Second Story R.
Obviously these demos are designed to give you just a little taste of a game, but if you're gaming on a budget and would rather enjoy a sample platter of titles, or maybe if you need to keep a young relative occupied on the cheap, I'd say the Nintendo Switch demo selection is a great solution.
