A new mod for GTA V will finally send players to prison to pay for their crimes, then let them commit more crimes.

You can get away with a lot in GTA V games, like gunning down a crowd of NCPs, robbing stores/banks and of course hijacking a variety of cars, planes, boats and military vehicles.

GTA VI will likely up-the-ante with the amount of crimes we can commit, so take a look at the trailer below

When you’re eventually caught for your crimes in Grand Theft Auto, they’re usually so heinous that the police have no choice but to put you down, where you awaken at the nearest hospital with a lighter wallet but the freedom to do it all over again with no consequence.

However, what if there were repercussions for your actions? Well a new mod has implemented just that, as committing a crime means you’ll have to do the time.

It’s called the Prison Life mod and it does exactly what is says on the tin, it sends you to prison to serve out a sentence.

Of course it’d be incredibly boring if you just had to sit there, rotting in a cell before you could get back to the open world, so there’s a variety of ways to pass the time while you wait for your release date.

This includes joining a gang, hitting the prison gym, getting a job, and even acquiring a few weapons via the black market.

All you need to do to get there is do something bad and let yourself be arrested, and you could even try your hand at escaping if you want to live out your own series of Prison Break.

The Prison Life mod is available to download right now, though it’s still in the early stages of the development so be mindful that there might be some bugs.
