Red Dead Redemption 2 Gunsmith mod lets you build and run your own business

Red Dead Redemption 2 Gunsmith mod lets you build and run your own business

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Gunsmith mod lets you build and run your own business, and is heaps of fun.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has solidified itself as one of the best video games of our generation. However, with story content running sparse, one modder has come up with an inventive way to add a whole new feature to the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 allows you to live out all your cowboy, gunslinging dreams from racing horses through barren lands and getting drunk at the local saloon, to robbing your local bank. Now thanks to one mod, you can also run your own gunsmith business. The mod created by Bolmin on Nexus Mods allows players to run their own shop, take part in supply runs, fight off bandits, decide prices and paychecks and work on maintaining a sparkling reputation.

The gunsmith shops available to purchase are in Valentine, Annesburg and Saint Denis and courtesy of the recent 0.3.1 update, you can also buy the shops in Rhodes and Tumbleweed. Once you have saved enough money to buy your shop, simply head to it to purchase it. Be aware that you can only own one at a time though. The mod page details how you will run your shop including maintaining your store and stocks budgets, ordering supplies and even go and pick your stock up whilst avoiding greedy bandits.

You will also have to keep an eye on your reputation which works the same way as Red Dead Redemption 2’s honour system. A high variety of goods at low prices as well as happy employees will equal a good reputation but neglecting any of these will affect your shop.

This is the perfect addition to the 2018 action-adventure title by Rockstar Games. With many fans wishing they could experience the game all over again, adding new and exciting features is the perfect way to keep it alive until we (hopefully) receive news of Red Dead Redemption 3.
