The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will always be thought of as one of the greatest games of all time, but admittedly, it’s not aged very well visually.
While there’s still a definite charm to those classic N64 graphics, I’m sure that every fan has wondered at some point what a new-gen remake of Ocarina of Time would look like. Unfortunately, it seems rather unlikely that it’ll ever happen on an official level, since the game already got a remake in 2011 on the Nintendo 3DS. While that version added some fantastic quality of life upgrades, the fact that it was developed for a small handheld device meant that it still doesn’t look absolutely fantastic, so we're still missing that glorious HD re-imagining.

Thankfully though, you can always rely on fans to go above and beyond for the sake of our favourite games. The name CryZENx might already be familiar to you - the YouTube creator and talented Unreal Engine developer has been working on a full remake of Ocarina of Time for a while now, and here at GAMINGbible, we’ve covered a number of updates about their project.

Although CryZENx’s remake was initially being developed using Unreal Engine 4, last year, they ported everything over to Unreal Engine 5, and the visuals have improved significantly as a result. You can take a look at their latest video below, which showcases the inside of the Great Deku Tree.
As Wccftech reports, CryZENx’s Patreon subscribers can get access to the Unreal Engine 5 remake right now and re-experience their childhood in full HD glory. Those who join the creator’s Discord server can also access the Unreal Engine 4 version for free.
The project is still a work in progress, so we’ll have to keep an eye on CryZENx’s YouTube channel for further updates.
