Bloodborne fans rise up, we're finally getting that remake apparently

One of the most highly requested PlayStation remakes that gamers are desperate to see is Bloodborne, the gothic action RPG by FromSoftware that is considered by some to be the best that the developer has to offer.

Bloodborne was released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and was met with high critical acclaim from reviewers and fans alike. On the aggregate website Metacritic, Bloodborne scored 92, earning the “Must-Play” accolade and fans have been calling for a remaster or remake since the launch of the PlayStation 5 in 2020.

Some could argue that it’s too early for a full remake, but who are we kidding, we know we’d buy that game in an instant. Fans would also be over the moon with a remaster or even a free PS5 update that boosts Bloodborne to 60 frames per second. What’s more, PC gamers would also love a port but unfortunately, those calls have fallen on deaf ears.

At this point, we can be numb for all the talk on a Bloodborne remaster, remake and a PC port. However, yet another apparent leak has teased that a Bloodborne remake might be closer than we thought.

The leak in question comes from Twitter user Silknigth, and before it was officially announced by Sony, this leaker spread the word that Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is coming to PC. So with that in mind, this leaker does at least have some validity to some leaks and rumours.

Now, replying to a tweet, when a follower asked: “Do you know something about Bloodborne?”, Silknigth replied: “Certainly, the game will receive more than just a simple remaster, but it will take time.” The leaker also claimed that a port of The Last of Us Part II is on the way and if that’s true, let’s just hope that this port launches in a better state than The Last of Us remake.

As always, we should take all rumours with a pinch of salt until officially confirmed. That being said, it makes all the sense in the world for Sony to bring Bloodborne to PlayStation 5 and PC. It would not only please its loyal fans but it will also bring in a legion of new fans to this FromSoftware great.

Bloodborne is available now on PS4 and it’s backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 but it is capped at just 30fps on console. It is also available to subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium at no extra cost.
