Cyberpunk 2077 collides with Horizon Zero Dawn and Genshin Impact in free PlayStation Plus game

Cyberpunk 2077 collides with Horizon Zero Dawn and Genshin Impact in free PlayStation Plus game

This PlayStation Plus game is like Cyberpunk 2077 had a baby with Horizon Zero Dawn, and then had it raised by Genshin Impact.

This PlayStation Plus game is like Cyberpunk 2077 had a baby with Horizon Zero Dawn, and then had it raised by Genshin Impact.

It’s called Scarlet Nexus, and it’s available to play at no additional cost for any PlayStation users who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.

Take a look at the trailer for the game below

Set in the far distant future, the world has been attacked by power-hungry mutants, and it’s up to special individuals called psionics to stop them. Psionics have extra-sensory abilities granting them psychic powers perfect for dealing with mutants, with the player’s character Yuito Sumeragi being particularly gifted with them.

That’s the basic story, with the gameplay being perfect for any fans of anime RPGs. The futuristic setting gives off a Cyberpunk 2077 vibe, though less gritty and more stylish due to the anime art style.

It’s the open world that’s reminiscent of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Genshin Impact, as it’s full of dangers to tackle however you please, and on top of that it looks absolutely gorgeous.

If you’re already subscribed to PlayStation Plus it's worth checking out, especially since it’ll be free for you to play anyway. It’ll definitely have some appeal for fans of the Persona and/or Shin Megami Tensei franchises.

That being said if you’re adamant this isn’t the game for you, worry not, as there are plenty more bangers on PlayStation Plus right now, like this one which feels like a blend of Baldur’s Gate 3 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

You could also try some of the incredible exclusives PlayStation has to offer as part of your membership, like Ghost Of Tsushima, or Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Don’t sleep on Scarlet Nexus though, at least give it a try for the story and flashy visuals alone.
