LEGO Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teased in new trailer

LEGO Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teased in new trailer

Cal Kestis is finally here in brick form

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, much like its successor Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, can drive me round the bend with its soulslike structure, I’ll admit.

I’m not the most nifty at its particular style of melee combat but I persevere because what a fantastic story and world this is to dive into.

Cal and Merrin have my whole heart and I am oh so very much looking forward to a third and final instalment which appears to have been quietly confirmed by EA.

There’s no doubt that Jedi: Survivor was easily an improvement upon Fallen Order with its expanded side activities and weapon offerings. That blaster suited my own playstyle very nicely.

If the third instalment is to change anything, I just hope it nails the pacing more so than what’s come before.

Jedi: Survivor is a thrilling game but you wouldn’t believe it in that dull and slow opening act.

Whilst we await news on what’s next for Cal Kestis and his merry band of rebels, LEGO has just offered us our first glimpse at the character in brick form.

Star Wars Outlaws is the next major video game release.

To celebrate 25 years of LEGO’s collaboration with the Star Wars franchise, a commemorative video was posted to LEGO’s YouTube channel.

“Celebrate 25 years of LEGO Star Wars with your favourite characters from across the galaxy,” read the description.

Many of the characters featured, we’ve seen in LEGO form before - in large part thanks to LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which covered all nine films in addition to featuring some Disney Plus characters via DLC.

If you’ve yet to play The Skywalker Saga, I highly urge you to. It’s another slow burner to begin with but oh my, when you fall into the flow, it’s so relaxing to go Kyber Bricks hunting for several hours.

One character we’ve not seen in LEGO form before though is Cal Kestis and yet there he is in the commemorative video alongside his trusty companion, BD-1.

What does this mean exactly? Well, the most likely answer is that you’ll soon be able to purchase a Cal Kestis LEGO figure.

Whilst I think it would be very fun for Fallen Order to get a full LEGO video game adaptation, I can’t see that happening any time soon.

Still, it’s always exciting to see Cal referenced alongside such legendary characters. Live-action Cal next?
