Kratos' next destination of destruction will supposedly be Egypt, hinted at through the latest God Of War expansion.
Following The Game Awards the other week, Santa Monica Studios dropped the surprise announcement that God Of War Ragnarok would get a free DLC expansion, years after its initial release.

Titled God Of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, the DLC sends Kratos and Mimir to the Nordic afterlife in a roguelike adventure lasting longer than this year’s Call Of Duty campaign. It also adds new stories, weapons, and abilities to wield, as well as hints on what’s yet to come in the God Of War universe.

As we all know Kratos began his adventures in Greece where he slaughtered the Greek pantheon, before moving to Midgard for what he hoped would be a simpler life. Obviously, that didn’t work out, and after killing some of the Norse gods, fans are now wondering which other cultures Kratos will visit next.
Twitter user Pyro5 thinks they’ve found the answer, as they’ve spotted what appear to be Pyramids in the background of the new Valhalla expansion.
As many commenters pointed out, Kratos has already been to Egypt just not in one of the video games. In a tie-in comic that connects his travels from Greece to Midgard, he briefly visited and left the country during his exile, though this could be retconned in place of a full game.

It seems like the team at Santa Monica Studios is setting its sights on Egypt for Kratos’ next adventure, after all, there aren’t any battles left for him in Midgard, as both games set there hinted at other lands to explore and save.
With Kratos’ new destiny to be a god of hope rather than war, he may return to Egypt to help its people, potentially ticking off the Egyptian gods in the process.
