Hideo Kojima may have just announced the first PlayStation 6 exclusive

Hideo Kojima revealed plans for a next-generation “action espionage game,” and it sounds like it’ll be ready for the PlayStation 6.

Last night, the visionary Hideo Kojima revealed plans for a next-generation “action-espionage game”, and it sounds like it’ll be ready for the PlayStation 6.

PlayStation wrapped up its State Of Play event with several glimpses into what’s on the horizon for the PlayStation 5 and beyond. We got to see two Silent Hill games, one of which is free to play right now, a closer look at Death Stranding 2 and much, much more.

Check out the new in-depth trailer for Death Stranding 2. A Freddo for whoever can tell me what’s happening.

However at the end of the show, shortly after a nine-minute long Death Stranding 2 trailer, Hideo Kojima made a special appearance to reveal yet another project currently in the works, Physint.

No gameplay or screenshots were shown, but Kojima did reveal that it’ll be a “action-espionage” game made for the next-generation. He went on to say that it’ll reach the next level of “digital entertainment" and you could argue it’s more like an interactive "movie" than your average video game.

The rest of the project is wrapped in mystery, but predictions and theories are spreading across the internet like wildfire. Many fans quickly pointed out that “action-espionage” is often used to describe the Metal Gear series, something Kojima worked on for years before leaving Konami.

It’s also being speculated that whatever Kojima is working on at the moment could be made with the PlayStation 6 in mind. Sony has made no comments on the PlayStation 6’s existence, but it’s more than likely we’ll get one in the next few years. If that’s the case, Physint could very well be an exclusive launch title for the system.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about Kojima’s mystery game so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for new developments at future PlayStation events.
