PlayStation Plus free game is perfect if you're looking to scratch that Fallout itch

It's time to let the rage take over

I’m gonna shill for this game because when I played it I had an absolute blast. Is it a perfect game? No, it isn’t. Is it action-packed and a treat on the eyes? You betcha.

Rage 2 is an action adventure done right, it’s a bit bonkers, full of silly over-the-top moments that could easily make a highlight reel. It was a huge leap forward from the original game which was too serious for its own good. If you’ve somehow been sleeping on this, well, shame on you, but get this downloaded using PlayStation Plus and cancel your weekend plans.

Rage 2 features so much to do and is a banger of an action game to boot

Let’s give you a quick story run-down for Rage 2, straight from Bethesda themselves, “An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth’s population. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule with an iron fist. As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland and a threat to their power, you have been robbed of your home and left for dead. Now you’ll have to rage for justice and freedom.”

Now you’re up to speed. This dystopian adventure is bursting at the seams with combat that takes place traditionally, with a gun in hand, or via vehicles that tear around the area, kicking up dust. It’s perhaps best known for it’s gunplay which is just sublime - each gun feels completely different to the next and all of them are fun to wield. Rage 2 also delivers an open-world that’s a joy to explore, with plenty of points of interest filled either with nasty enemies or hidden secrets, so there’s always something to do.

If I haven’t sold you on playing Rage 2, then strike me down. Or just go and play it and make my job much easier, because honestly, I think you’ll have a blast.
