The future is looking bright for gaming, not least of all because some of the most treasured titles are set to be remade, if recent rumours are to be believed.
In recent years, PlayStation has been focused on delivering remakes and remasters of popular classics; apparently the "remaster machine" is set to continue. This is undeniably fantastic news, considering there are many titles that are simply crying out for remakes – like the early Uncharted titles.

Uncharted 2 in particular has been praised for its opening scene, which is easily one of gaming's greats. When such a loyal following is still celebrating the game, it's hard to understand why a remake hasn't come our way yet.

But there is still time. According to Silknigth on Twitter, "there are a couple of remakes in the pipeline", with 2025 "shaping up to be a significant year" for Sony. It's incredibly exciting... if true. If you take a look at Reddit, you'll notice that not all gamers are convinced at the validity of Silknigth's words.
"Very sus that they're actively trying to damage control the less than positive Sony rumours ('I understand people may be disappointed but...')," one post reads. "But are also more than happy to spread unsubstantiated, overwhelmingly negative Xbox rumours with no caveats."
Let's not forget that Sony also said that 2025 wasn't going to be a big year for existing IPs, which further adds credence to the idea that these claims could be unfounded. However, older titles from PS3 and earlier days might not be considered big IPs anymore (depending on which titles could get remade), and thus Silknigth might not be all talk "for clout".

Whatever these remakes are, Killzone isn't one of them.
Regardless of whether you believe this "insider" "magically knows everything", there's no escaping how much the community is crying out for solid remasters that hit us right in the nostalgia feels.
