When it comes to leading video game characters, no one comes close to Red Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan.
You could argue this fact, though we anticipate quick backlash from fans if anyone dares to say Arthur is anything less than gaming’s greatest lead character of all time.
The way Arthur has touched the lives of gamers has been encapsulated in an appreciation post from Twitter user NikTek, in which they remark on how “the connection that every gamer had with him [Arthur Morgan] was on a spiritual level, to say the least”.
Considering how RDR2 has been hailed for having such a moving, “heartbreaking” ending, though one that adds to the immersive atmosphere of the game, it’s not hard to understand why Arthur is at the forefront of everyone’s praise.

Fans are so blown away by the performance that they’ve given us the crossover we didn’t realise we needed: RDR2 and The Boys. “Homelander's words are my feelings towards his performance as Arthur,” explained one user alongside a gif of Homelander saying “And I got to tell you, it was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute detail.”

Naturally, Roger Clark, the man behind Arthur Morgan, is in awe of the fandom, having responded by saying that he “can’t believe so many” are still enjoying the work they put into the game all these years later. But how could we not?

Beyond that, the game looks amazing, with it easily being one of the best-looking games to be released to date. When it comes to getting it right, Rockstar Games nailed it with RDR2.
