The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim features a cutthroat land of ruthless encounters with monsters, thieves and hostile wildlife, mainly the all-powerful dragons laying waste to the population.

However, when you pull the camera outwards, taking the first-person perspective out of the experience, the land of Skyrim looks serene, peaceful, and prosperous.

That’s exactly how it looks in Age Of Empires 2, as one fan set out to recreate the Bethesda game’s map in its entirety, and the detail is outstanding.

Sharing their creation on Reddit with the title: ”I remade all of Skyrim in aoe2,” the post featured several in-game screenshots. The fan has meticulously recreated some of the most iconic in-game locations, as well as make them fully playable as empires, meaning you could soon become your very own Jarl.

I say soon because the map is yet to be made public, but the fan has said there are plans to do so very soon. They also shared some of the specifics of the map, saying: “Has 50+ quests, 100 unique characters and you can play as one of the Holds vying for control of Skyrim.”

Fans were absolutely blown away, loving the unexpected crossover of two beloved games.

“Looks nice, but do you get to the cloud district very often?”

“It's beautiful man. Two legendary games.”

“I love this, reproducing stuff from one game in another. Any chance on a full map?”

The screenshots included the key Skyrim settlements, like Riften, Windhelm and of course, Whiterun.

Hopefully, the map creator uploads them soon because I for one can’t wait to make Whiterun the crowing jewel of Skyrim, and I’m sure many other fans will feel the same way.
