Counter-Strike 2 is being review bombed after many fans declare it to be an inferior version to the original game.
Recently, Valve released the sequel to the beloved tactical first-person shooter, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Counter-Strike 2 is essentially a free upgrade from the base game, boasting improved graphics, better physics and some new features fans have been begging for over the last few years, like being able to refund a gun if it was bought in error.

While it was supposed to be an improvement over its predecessor, fans haven’t been so easy to please, leading to less than positive reviews for the new version of the game.
For context, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive sat at a very comfortable ‘Very Positive’ on Steam, with around 90% of reviewers recommending the game to others. After being out for a week, the game has dropped to ‘Mostly Positive’ with only around 70% of people recommending the game. It doesn’t sound like a lot by contrasting it with what it used to be shows a pretty significant drop-off.
The main complaints stem from the lack of content currently present in Counter-Strike 2, with fan-favourite multiplayer maps and modes not being present in the game, though Valve does plan on adding them back in later down the line.
It’s also still plagued by cheaters/hackers, in addition to bugs and imbalances that are turning casual and veteran players away from the game. Ultimately, fans are calling Counter-Strike 2 an inferior version of the game, saying that while it looks better in terms of graphics, the gameplay just isn’t there yet.

Unfortunately, fans can longer play the original version of the game, as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was pulled off Steam when the new version arrived, meaning fans are stuck with Counter-Strike 2 for the time being.
