This stunning fantasy RPG is like a cross between Elden Ring and The Witcher 3 and a much-needed addition to your wishlist.
Fantasy RPG fans always seem to have something new to play. One of the big ones this year is Dragon’s Dogma 2 which looks extraordinarily good and absolutely massive in terms of scale.

For Elden Ring and The Witcher fans though, this year will unfortunately be a whole lot of waiting. The upcoming DLC expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow Of The Erdtree is set to drop sometime this year but a recent update has fans disappointed. On the other hand The Witcher 4 is currently in development with CD Projekt Red, but it’s taking its sweet time to make it a fitting continuation of the Witcher world.

In the meantime, fantasy RPG fans should definitely check out Nazralath: The Fallen World, an upcoming Steam game that looks like the best of both worlds from Elden Ring and The Witcher.
The game’s description describes it as a “story-driven, dark fantasy game inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński; focusing on a compelling narrative and exploration through a rich, strong sense of atmosphere.”
From the in-game screenshots and gameplay you can tell it has a lot of atmosphere, as the game looks gloomier than Dark Souls II, which is a compliment in every sense.
Players will be able to explore open areas and chat with the locals, of which they’ll be given loads of dialogue options to learn more about the world and the people that live in it. Combat looks exhilarating too with menacing enemies and a rhythm to fights that looks like it’ll really shine during sword duels.

The only thing missing is a release date, with a vague “coming soon” on the official Steam page. Nevertheless if it launches sometime this year it’ll be another RPG option for fans to consider, which never hurt anyone.
