Horizon Zero Dawn meets Genshin Impact in Steam's biggest new RPG

Horizon Zero Dawn meets Genshin Impact in Steam's biggest new RPG

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is solidly climbing up Steam's chart following its launch last week.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is off to a solid start after launching just a few days ago. Released on both PC and PlayStation, this anime RPG perfectly blends the aesthetic of Genshin Impact with a vast sprawling open world akin to that you’ll find in Horizon Zero Dawn.

While it may not match Palworld’s 19 million players, Granblue Fantasy:Relink is rapidly climbing the Steam charts amassing players. On Metacritic, the game has a very respectable score of 80. Here at GAMINGbible, we wrote, “Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a fine action-RPG and one that takes full advantage of new-gen hardware. While it treads a path we’ve all been down before, the way it sets itself apart is through its world building, characters, a great blend of action and strategy gameplay, and some gorgeous visual detail.”

Take a look at Granblue Fantasy: Relink in action below.

Developed by Cygames, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is playable either solo or via four-player co-op. “A grand adventure in the skies awaits! Form a party of four from a diverse roster of skyfarers and slash—or shoot or hex—your way to victory against treacherous foes in this action RPG,” the synopsis reads which, admittedly, doesn’t give much away so allow me to explain.

Set in the Sky Realm, you assume the role of a captain of a ‘skyfaring’ crew who ventures off in search of Estalucia, an island that reportedly lies beyond the end of the skies. Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter a variety of foes including an organisation known as Church of Avia. There are plenty of secrets to unravel as you battle for the fate of the Sky Realm.

As reported by PCGamesN, Granblue Fantasy: Relink already boasts an all-time player count peak of 114,054 on Steam. It’s current player count, at the time of writing, of 111,004 puts it in 10th place, behind Wallpaper Engine, Source SDK Base 2007, Grand Theft Auto V, Naraka: Bladepoint, Apex Legends, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Palworld in ascending order. It’s a game well worth checking out.
