This recent PlayStation Plus Extra addition is apparently better than many give it credit for.
PlayStation Plus provides an opportunity to try new games that you wouldn’t necessarily pay full price for, making it a great way to give credit to some underrated titles.

One such title is Gotham Knights, a Batman game that doesn’t actually follow the Dark Knight, instead giving the player control of four Bat-Family members, Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Redhood.
Each of the four heroes plays differently to each other, with Batgirl being able to glide around Gotham, Robin using teleportation to get the drop on enemies, and Redhood going full-on Devil May Cry with dual handguns.
It received mixed reviews, being quite unfairly compared to Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Trilogy, undoubtedly the peak of Batman video games and one of the best superhero games of all time, facing steep competition from Marvel’s Spider-Man.
It was recently added to PlayStation Plus, and while many have tried the game and confessed it’s not for them, others have had a decent time with it, with many believing it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Reddit user Theguy2277 shared their thoughts, saying they’d tried it out and thought it was “bland and boring,” and nothing like the Arkham games.
Others disagreed, believing it offers a decent amount of enjoyment, and that comparing it to games like Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City is what killed its chances of success.
“I had fun with it. I started with Robin, currently replaying as Red Hood. Batman, Spider-Man the bar is set high. Everything else superhero-wise is below it.”
“Game is fine for a free game. But if I paid $70 for 30fps on a PS5 I would be mad.”

“It's not tied to the Arkham games so don't go into it thinking it will be. Now, I'm not singing the game's praises, it's okay at best, especially given its 30fps, but it's in no way horrible.”
In other news, Batman: Arkham Knight recently got a brand-new DLC update, eight years after its release.
