A Twitch streamer who joked on a live stream about being a “child predator” is back on the platform after Twitch lifted his ban.
Earlier this year, the controversial Fortnite streamer HydraSZN was involved in an incident that quickly landed him in hot water with fans, as well as Twitch.

During one of his live streams, the content creator was in the middle of an intense match of Fortnite that was quickly coming down to the wire. After going toe to toe with another player and losing, HydraSZN expressed their disappointment with an absolutely horrendous outburst about being attracted to minors.

The streamer said: “I like kids … Oh, I swear to God I do, on my life I’m a little child predator.” This was precursed with a slur hurled at the other player.
Viewers quickly clipped the outburst and shared it online, generating thousands of views and shares on Twitter. As a result of the reaction going so public, Twitch inevitably stepped in and issued HydraSZN with a ban, much to the satisfaction of angry viewers.
HydraSZN reportedly appealed the ban with Twitch but didn’t get anywhere, going on to say: “I deserve the hate for making a dumb joke, but if Twitch bans me for this, they might as well ban literally thousands of other streamers. I don’t deserve an indefinite ban … Twitch is my job, and my childhood dream and I was finally succeeding.”
After a week, it seems the streaming platform had a change of heart, and accepted the streamer's appeal, with the channel going back up on the platform on the 31st of August.

HydraSZN shared the news on their Twitter account, saying: “They said it was proper that I deserved that ban, in the email, such a weird case. So surprised they accepted it. I shall never f*** up again.”
Whether the streamer falls victim to further controversy remains to be seen, though if they do, they’ll quickly face further action from Twitch, potentially indefinitely.
