As we’re all aware, Starfield can currently be preordered via the Standard Editon, which will give you access to the game on the 6th of September, or the Premium Edition, which gives you plenty of bonus goodies, as well as early access on the 1st of September.

If you’ve ordered neither of those but still fancy playing the game early, or bought the standard edition and changed your mind about early access, you can buy the Premium Edition Upgrade via the Xbox Store.

For the fairly reasonable price of $34.99/£34.99, you can upgrade your copy to include early access and all the other bonuses that come with it. This doesn’t just apply to those who’ve already bought the Standard Edition though, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can purchase the upgrade too, so you won’t miss out while other players start their intergalactic adventures without you.

There are only a few days left till Starfield’s highly-anticipated release, and it promises to be a spectacular experience. Aside from the enormous galaxy filled with massive, explorable planets, advanced character creation, custom starship design and more, the game also reportedly boasts little to no bugs.

I know what you’re thinking, no bugs in a Bethesda game? It’s a surprise, to say the least, but a welcome one and it's been corroborated by first impression, with some reviewers claiming they’ve experienced no issues throughout their playthrough so far.

Starfield is certainly a game we’ll be hearing a lot more about over the next few weeks, as fans get ready to begin their thousand-hour playthroughs. It might even be a contender for Game Of The Year despite steep competition from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Starfield will launch on the 1st of September for early-access players and the 6th of September for everyone else.
