Since the dawn of SEGA and Nintendo consoles, exclusive titles have been part of the ecosystem with the likes of Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog becoming two of the most iconic mascots in video game history.
However, in recent years, especially as the competition heats up to claim more exclusives than the competitors, companies such as Microsoft and Sony have been acquiring third-party studios with Activision and Bethesda being prime examples. As such, titles that may not have initially started as a console exclusive, have now become exclusive. One such title is the upcoming sequel Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II from Ninja Theory.

Recently, Microsoft announced that four Xbox exclusives will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, which we later learned those titles are Grounded, Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment. While many fans would have hoped for Starfield to make the jump to PlayStation 5, at the time of writing, Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG remains on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

However, it has been claimed in a recent episode of the Riskit4theBiskit podcast, that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is coming to PlayStation 5 and it’s apparently been confirmed by four separate sources. That being said, it was made clear in the podcast episode that no official documents have been seen to back up those claims. Yet, if Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II would come to PlayStation 5, it would make sense considering that the original game is multiplatform.
If Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II would come to PlayStation 5, it would also make sense for Microsoft to make the sequel a time-exclusive at least, before it was to make the jump to the blue brand. Yet, no matter how believable some rumours may seem, we should take them all with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be released on 21 May 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will also launch on Xbox Game Pass.
