'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Season 3 PlayStation Exclusive Content Confirmed

How the other half live.

Season 3 has arrived in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and it's free-to-play counterpart Warzone. There are new maps to get stuck into, new operators and weapons to try out, and even a new four-player Quads option for the battle royale mode. As part of Activision and Infinity Ward's ongoing efforts to ensure players on all platforms can stay connected, all of the new content will be available for free on all platforms at the same time. Well, nearly all.

You probably understand how this works by now. PlayStation 4 owners have been getting exclusive content for Modern Warfare and Warzone since launch, and Season 3 is no exception. It's never anything that really gives PS4 users a major advantage in the multiplayer, and most Xbox One and PC rarely care that they don't have access.

Still, it's human nature to want what you can't have, and I've no doubt some will be a little irritated that the PS4 lot are getting exclusive access. But what exactly is it they're getting access to this time?

The PlayStation Blog has provided a handy rundown of the exclusive content, which basically amounts to one map for Modern Warfare's Spec Ops Survival mode and a combat pack that can be used in Modern Warfare multiplayer and Warzone.

The Survival mode map isn't anything too exciting - Shoot House is already familiar to players from its appearance in the standard multiplayer modes, so it's not exactly a brand-new addition for players. Regardless, it's a fan-favourite and should be a nice addition to Survival mode.

Then there's the combat pack, which is only free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, adding an extra layer of exclusivity. The pack includes an Epic Operator skin for Wyatt, a handful of Epic weapon bluprints, a new weapon charm, an animated calling card, and a 60-minute Double Weapon XP token. Again, not the most thrilling exclusive content... which is good news for Xbox One and PC gamers I guess.

As for the Season 3 content that's available for everyone? Well, there's plenty of cool new stuff to check out. A new battle pass that's obviously full of new weapon blueprints, charms, and other cosmetic goodies, for one thing.

There are also new and returning maps, including a refreshed version of Call Of Duty 4's Backlot, and all the usual tweaks to balance and general gameplay fixes. You can read more about Season 3's new content right here.
