If, like me, you've finally finished paying off the crippling debt accumulated over Christmas and unending month of January, you could probably use a bargain or two. Good news then, as Sony has just launched a fairly hefty new PlayStation Store sale that offers substantial discounts on a number of critically-acclaimed PS4 titles.
The Critics' Choice sale boasts bargains of up to 60% in Europe, and runs until February 19th. In the US, the sale has discounts of up to 50% and runs until February 18th. I'm not saying that Europe is better than the States or anything, but in this instance I can objectively prove to you that it's a whole 10% better.
In Europe, there are deals on such fantastic games as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is currently going for £7.39. Seriously, if you've never played CD Projekt RED's open-world RPG, this is an incredible price. Don't make me come round to your house and force you to buy it. I've done it before, I'll do it again.
The excellent Control is also £29.99, down from £49.99. Remedy's latest was one of the best games of last year, and more than worth your time if you've yet to experience it for yourself. In fact, it was our very own 2019 Game Of The Year. A notable accolade, I'm sure you'll agree.

Other highlights include Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (£20.99), FIFA 20 (£29.99), and GTA V (£12.99), as if there's a single soul left alive that doesn't already own a copy of the open-world crime sim.
In terms of PlayStation exclusives, God of War Digital Deluxe Edition and Marvel's Spider-Man are absolute bargains at a very tasty £15.99 each. Meanwhile, Death Stranding is down to £34.99, though lord knows Kojima's latest game wouldn't have been this critic's choice. Ah well, it's found an audience - who am I to moan?
If you fancy a challenge, the excellent Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is £38.99, while Devil May Cry 5 is a reasonable £15.99. There's a bunch more on sale, so take a look here and see if anything tickles your fancy. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, for instance. No pressure.

In other PlayStation news, Sony recently launched a shiny new homepage for its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. I say shiny, but really it's pretty basic, and there's not really anything on it yet. But its arrival suggests that Sony is finally gearing up to tell us more about its next-gen console. Watch this space.
