PlayStation’s free monthly games just dropped, and users are refusing to download one due to its ridiculous storage requirement.
Every month, PlayStation treats its PlayStation Plus subscribers to three games they can download and keep forever at no additional cost. Some months are pretty good, whereas others leave a lot to be desired.
This month, players are generally quite happy with the selection, apart from one title, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, which demands a whopping 200GB of storage space to download, which is something many users are outright refusing to do.

For context, a PlayStation console generally has between 500GB-1TB of storage, meaning Cold War takes up an extraordinary amount of room, which players have described as “insane”.
Opinions on the new games and CODs install size were recently discussed in a Reddit thread, with many players commenting on Cold War’s install size.

Other free titles available this month are Alan Wake Remastered and Endling – Extinction, both of which went down well with fans.

The PlayStation Plus offering is generally a mixed bag when it comes to downloadable games. While there’s usually something for everyone, many are left disappointed when more well-known AAA games fail to appear on the service. Regardless, the subscription does continue to improve, and will soon introduce cloud-streaming as a new perk for Premium subscribers.
